Darrin Eakins Wilmington NC
Darrin Eakins is a transitional expert. After an accident and illness forced him to abandon his orthopedic physician vocation, he pursued new hobbies and career possibilities in stock trading and investing. He discovered a liking for pickleball and rediscovered his family's fondness for painting after acquiring more leisure time.
He uses his orthopedic surgeon experience to inform a significant portion of his present job, including biomedical stock analysis. This specialized analyst profession evaluates the investment prospects of pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. A surgeon's viewpoint, which combines an understanding of patient care and hospital and clinic operations, enables Eakins to study items in development from many businesses from multiple angles and assess whether it is a good moment to buy.
His interest in the stock market extends beyond medical stocks, and he is now a very active futures trader. Futures trading success involves market expertise and the ability to spot profitable chances. Futures may be purchased to hedge against market changes or for speculative purposes. A necessary skill is an ability to speculate on the future price of a stock index or commodity after the futures contract expires, as opposed to owning actual stocks.
Previously, Darrin Eakins was an orthopedist in Willmington, North Carolina, specializing in sports medicine. A specialist in orthopedic surgery treats conditions affecting bones, joints, and muscles. In addition, they treat cancers, congenital disorders, degenerative diseases, and sports injuries. At Oregon Health Sciences University, he completed a 6-year surgical internship and residency in Orthopaedic surgery. He also spent an additional year as a fellow at the Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney, Australia.
He performed as an orthopedic and sports medicine physician for over 20 years after his medical degree.
Darrin made time to better the lives of others despite his demanding schedule as a surgeon. In 2001, he gave a house to Habitat for Humanity for this reason.
He was one of the top students at Wake School of Medicine and one of the top students in his medical school class.
He has numerous hobbies, including stock market investing, futures trading, biomedical stock analysis, pickleball, fishing, sports injuries, health and nutrition, and acrylic painting. As part of his other pastimes, he is investing in the stock market and acquiring market-specific analytical skills.
His father was a passionate artist. While Eakins was a full-time surgeon, his interests took a back place to patient care and surgical procedures. However, after retirement, he rekindled a passion for art that he first developed as a child while learning from his father.
Likewise, pickleball has provided good opportunities for physical therapy and strength growth. In addition to being a fun and competitive sport, everyday exercise has helped polish motor skills, increase stamina, and achieve new mental clarity.
In 2008, he was engaged in a severe mountain riding accident. As a result, he sustained damage to his wrist and shoulder. It resulted in many surgeries and the surgeon's inability to work.
During his recovery from various operations, he, like so many others, developed an addiction to oxycontin. This routinely prescribed opioid has been prohibited and is the subject of numerous lawsuits due to its highly addictive characteristics. This finally resulted in melancholy, family separation, and divorce. He battled addiction and depression for ten years and was in and out of several treatment centers and rehab until 2016 when he spent almost a year in Florida at Life Skills, Boca Raton, and Half Way House in Del Ray.
